Description

Job Title: Utility Operator

This is a full-time, day shift position reporting to the Plant Manager.

About the Role

The Utility Operator will support operations, shipping, receiving and maintenance activities as required. This includes providing material handling support to operations, assisting with shipping and performing tasks as directed by the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform basic laboratory testing, evaluating and documenting results when providing operations support or working on small batch production.
  • Prepare, package and record chemical products for shipment.
  • Operate a forklift and hoists with required licenses.
  • Use in-house software and programs such as Excel to perform job duties.
  • Work with minimal supervision as part of a team of five operators on day shift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hands-on position requiring ability to lift/carry items up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Troubleshooting skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Background in basic chemistry, math and operating liquid process equipment.
