Key Responsibilities

As an FP&A and IR Analyst, your primary duties will encompass:

  • Developing and managing intricate financial models that factor in elements such as gas prices, production volumes, transportation expenses, and regulatory influences.
  • Preparing consistent forecasts and analyzing discrepancies between actual and budgeted performance.
  • Collaborating with multiple departments to formulate annual budgets that reflect the company’s strategic aims.
  • Assisting in the creation of comprehensive multi-year forecasts and long-term financial strategies.
  • Conducting margin analyses for various projects and divisions within the business.
  • Generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
  • Presenting significant financial insights, trends, and risk evaluations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and assessing natural gas price trends, geopolitical dynamics, and regulatory shifts to evaluate their impact on financial outcomes.
  • Contributing to strategic approaches that mitigate price volatility or leverage advantageous market conditions.
  • Identifying areas for enhancement and proposing actionable financial recommendations.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives, investment evaluation, and business development activities.
  • Assisting in the formulation of the investor relations strategy and communications.
  • Analyzing financial and operational data for investor and analyst reporting.
  • Responding to inquiries from investors and analysts, providing necessary data as required.
  • Coordinating investor calls, meetings, analyst days, and roadshows.
  • Aiding in earnings reports, press releases, and other financial communications.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Extensive experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, ideally within the energy or commodities sectors.
  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools (Oracle experience is preferred).
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards relevant to investor relations.
  • Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office and other pertinent digital tools.
