UVA Imaging is currently looking for a fulltime RN to Join an energetic, patient-focused team! UVA Imaging is growing and seeking an experienced nurse for a Full-time Flex position at our outpatient imaging centers located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Charlottesville, Virginia. We are seeking skilled and genuine care givers who are committed to positively contributing to the patient’s overall experience which we consistently rank in the National Top Ten percentile.  

The ideal candidate for this position is looking for flexible shifts, to include days, evenings and some weekends.  If you enjoy a fast paced, strong team environment then you will be a perfect fit.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor, Clinical Manager, or Clinical Director, the Registered Nurse:

  • Is a highly-skilled clinician utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to patient care service delivery.
  • Manages care at a highly-developed skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians, & other members of the health care team.
  • Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 1 year as an RN in a clinical setting

EDUCATION:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire. ACLS certification may be required.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
  • Ability to manage medical emergencies and contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
