Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Business Development is seeking a Senior Marketing and Sales Representative for the Daleville, AL Field and Customer Engagement Office.

 

The focus of this position is customer interface in support of Boeing’s work with the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Novosel, AL, and the United States Army Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Moore, GA.

In this role, you will report to the Business Development Manager for Aviation and Weapons systems who is in Huntsville, AL. You will be a key member of the Field and Customer Engagement team in support of BDS and Boeing Global Services, responsible for marketing activities and supporting all Boeing customer and community engagement efforts.

Some of the key position objectives are:

  • You will represent all Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS), and Boeing Global Services (BGS), and Boeing Subsidiaries projects, programs, products, and capabilities for U.S. Army and Special Operations Forces.
  • This is a highly complex set of offerings for a rapidly evolving contested environment in all five domains (space, air, land, maritime, and cyber) – the key to this role is your ability to build relationships, listen to the customer, and communicate how Boeing products support the mission as well as schedule and affordability needs.
  • This individual will contribute on matters related to U.S. programs of record and will routinely interface with a diverse and geographically dispersed team while building and leveraging close working relationships with the Boeing Government Relations office, Field and Customer Engagement offices, BDS and BGS business units, and Program Teams.
  • This is a highly visible position where you have the opportunity to build a long-term career with BDS, Business Development, and Field and Customer Engagement operations, while moving the business forward, and enhancing shareholder value.

 

Other Position responsibilities may include:

  • Drives sales and campaign activities to successful completion by integrating multiple aspects of the customers' needs.
  • Establishes a broad network of contacts and knowledge base to act as a broker of knowledge to multiple customer needs.
  • Establishes, maintains and expands network to address customer needs and keep lines of communication open.
  • Develops customer solutions by coordinating and integrating with internal and external processes and divisions to provide a competitive advantage and to foster business growth with acceptable margins.

 

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
 

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 10 or more years of experience working within or with Military and DoD customers
  • 5 of more years of quality experience in a defense-related program (e.g. DoD, U.S. Army, etc.)
  • Experience interfacing directly with senior military officials and executives
  • Experience with communications experience, both written and verbal, with a comfort in public speaking and frequent interactions with executive-level management
  • Background in U.S. Army capabilities, organizations, operations, processes, logistics, acquisitions, and weapon systems
  • Knowledge of U.S. Army Futures Command, U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence and the U.S. Army Maneuver Center
  • Experience with DoD acquisition process and the Army and Special Operations Command roles in the requirements setting and acquisition process
  • Experience with Government/DoD/Army budget, investments, and acquisition processes along with an understanding of legislative or Congressional activities
  • Knowledge of the U.S. Army Modernization Enterprise and the U.S. Army Modernization Strategy

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to actively participate in local civic, business, defense industry and professional associations to enhance Boeing's image as a good corporate community partner.
  • Ability to apply industry and USG / International customer acquisition knowledge of specific customers or regions in support of sales.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a team-based culture between BDS Global Sales & Marketing, BGS and various Boeing Business Units.
  • Familiarity with how the US Army generates requirements.

 

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

 

Relocation

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
